After years of conservation, the oldest known boat in Switzerland ended its last voyage and returned to its original location. The Moossee find can now be admired in a climate-controlled showcase on the lake shore sitting in between the nature reserve and a newly designed children’s playground.
The protective structure in the form of a mighty, boat shape shows the original find freely accessible to the public. The boat can be visited where it originated, by anyone and at any time of the day: not behind the walls of a museum, but on the way to the lake.
